Welcome to the New World

It's another Sunday, get motivated and inspired for the week.

The world we live is very different from what our ancestors lived in. This is a New World; an advanced world; a world of possibilities; a world of opportunities; a world of the intellectuals.

In this world, only the intellectual ones reign. Those who can see beyond what others are seeing. An Intellectual; that's what you are. But it's not by mouth but action.

You have to think extraordinarily. You have to explore your mind always. There are ideas hidden in everyone's minds but only the thinkers discover and uncover theirs.

In this new world of ours, new ideas are in vogue; creative ideas are in existence; unusual ideas are to be implemented.

Discover ideas, implement ideas, put in your best and I will surely SEE YOU AT THE TOP.

Our Future Is In Our Hands - by Joseph OLADOKUN

This article was written by my very motivational friend. Apologies for not posting last week, I was fixed up. Enjoy this article written by Joseph OLADOKUN and get motivated for the week.

According to Article 26 section A of the African youth charter that was adopted by the 7th Ordinary session of the assembly of African leaders held in Banjul, the Gambia on 2nd July 2006, it says ‘‘every youth have the duty to become the custodian of their own development’’.

After cogitating on this statement, then i realise that they are indirectly telling us we are responsible for whatever we become in life and how our future turns out to be.

Indeed, this is a bad news for some African youth nowadays who thinks their future is in the hands of their parent, Government, Economy or their Background, in fact your background should not put your back on the ground but it should be the ground on which you succeed.

However, it is high time we stop all these blame game and focus on our personal, academic, spiritual, emotional, financial, mental development and take charge of our own future. In Summary, our African leaders have made us realise that ”OUR FUTURE IS IN OUR HANDS’’, so take Charge!

Are you a copy cat?

It's another Sunday. Yay! get motivated for the week.

Different personalities require different success approaches. Let me point this out first: I am not discouraging you from reading success stories or having role models. Just that when you set out to completely copy someone's success pattern, the most you can be is second to that person. I once said: "Failure occurs when your priority does not match your personality."  When you read someone's biography or autobiography of how he started and how he got to where he is, you can only learn some things and not everything. Most people make the mistakes of wanting to learn everything from success stories.

Oh! this successful guy don't use to eat fruits, I will stop eating fruits.

Oh! this successful lady got a loan to start his business, I will also get a loan.

Oh! this popular guy lost so many friends while trying to be popular, let me start losing friends.

Oh! this successful man used this specific marketing strategy, I will apply the same.

Oh! this and that. Must you even live your private life like your role model to be able to be like him? Why striving to be like him? Do you think you can never be better than him?

The advice I can offer is read success stories only to motivate yourself. Don't ever be intimidated into thinking you could be like a particular person. When you employ such mindset, you limit yourself to a particular kind of success. But if you implement your inbuilt skills, you could be far much better. I believe God do not create less intelligent people as time goes on but more intellectual and intelligent creations. You can do better than Michael Jackson; you can do better than Oprah Winfrey; you can do better than Barack Obama. Get motivated, stay focused, and apply your own skills.
